Sydney Wyrick’s Portfolio

For my Web designing and publishing course, I made a practice a particular product. I chose to make an example one for my artwork. This really allowed me to discover the complexities that go into making a site. along with deciding the design for something that suits the product.
For my Digital Media Innovation Capstone class, we made an app prototype and website to accompany the project. I learned many things to planning, brainstorming, innovation, and prototyping our own idea of what a useful app should be.

This was also created in my Web Designing and Publishing class. I decided to write a blog type website introducing something that was of an interest to me. I chose to write about motorcycles and a motorcycle club. With this project, I was able to experiment with video editing for the first time and create a multimedia website.

This project was a project was a play off the personalized quizzes that similar to the Buzzfeed- styled quizzes where it is personalized toward the user that answers the questions. My quiz is about how well a user knows popular slogans of different companies.
Create data charts through HTML. I chose the topic of how U.S. high school students feel about their education. I take the data I found on the subject and code it into a more visual presentation that is also not static, so a user can click buttons and see changes. It was a stepping stone before the bigger project at the end of semester.

This was a multimedia feature story that’s takes elements from using data to tell a story. I coded using HTML and CSS on a Bootstrap template. I designed this website with the intention of easy user experience and readability. I did use some of the charts with information of data like the U.S. map.
I created a blog that takes elements of audio, video, graphs and info graphics to tell a story. The blog story included multimedia elements that involved audio, photo journalism, and research data. It was an in depth process of editing and storytelling that ended in such a cool result.

For my Advanced Social Media Analytics course, some classmates and I were asked to make a social media analytics report for a specific media platform. The media reported was Facebook.

for my advance Social Media Analytics, we practiced making mock posts for social media platforms.
For my Digital Media Capstone Course, we researched a potential problem in the world and brainstormed innovative solutions. My team and I came up with AI Pocket Planner.
